Built in Dunedin

Built like a bunker, dressed like a beach house

The J's walls are insulated concrete, poured by Coastal ICF Construction, a Dunedin builder that has worked across Florida since 1978. Concrete keeps the cool in, holds up to Gulf weather and quiets the traffic on Causeway Boulevard. Solar panels sit on the roof.

The coastal look comes from SDG Architecture, also in Dunedin, which is why the board-and-batten siding, metal roofs and big blue towers feel like they belong two miles from the beach and not on an interstate exit.

The J Hotel lobby with a wood slat front desk, crystal chandelier and baseball photo murals

The front desk never closes. Check-in starts at 3pm, check-out is 11am, and parking under the building is free.

Amenities

A pool, a gym and nowhere to be

The heated pool runs year round and the lounge chairs match the building. The guy doing laps next to you may have a better fastball than you. Work off the grouper sandwich in the fitness center and leave the car in the free covered lot for the whole stay.

Gatherings

Team dinners, wedding weekends, the odd board meeting

Our meeting room hosts the kind of groups that come to Dunedin together. Book a block of balcony rooms for the wedding party, run the morning session before everyone heads to the beach, or bring the whole travel team for a tournament weekend. The front desk will help you plan it.
